ARAWALE NATIONAL PARK
The Arawale National Park is located in the north-Eastern Province, in Garissa district, five km from the left bank of the Tana River. It was set up with the primary motive o f protecting rare antelope species known as the Hirola or the Hunter's hartebeest unique to this region. It has a hot and humid climate.
Game in the park include; the Hirola antelope, elephants, giraffes, Grevy's zebras, lesser kudu, buffaloes and crocodiles.
